OPINION - Ndi Anambra, the Time Is Now: A Call to Action from APGA National Chairman

Written by Nduka Anyanwu

As the clock winds down to less than 24 hours before the Anambra gubernatorial election, a wave of hope and determination sweeps across our beloved state. In this critical moment, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has issued a heartfelt appeal to every eligible Ndi Anambra: come out en masse this Saturday and vote for Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR.

In his inspiring message, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa emphasized that this election is more than just a vote; it is a decisive step toward consolidating the remarkable progress we have made under APGA’s leadership. He reminded us that the achievements of the past three years are tangible evidence of responsible, people-centered governance.

He stated:
"My dear Ndi Anambra, the moment has arrived. Less than 30 hours to go, we will decide the future of our state. As campaigns come to an end tonight, I urge every eligible voter to come out and support our candidate, Professor Soludo."

He highlighted key transformative projects and initiatives that have redefined governance in Anambra:
Urban Transformation: Okpoko, once a neglected slum, now stands as a shining example of urban renewal. Ekwulobia has blossomed into a bustling city with a flyover, modern stadium, shopping malls, and a state-of-the-art transport park.

Enhanced Social Services: Free education, antenatal care, child delivery, and postnatal services are now accessible to all Ndi Anambra.
Water Supply: For the first time in decades, potable pipe-borne water is available across the state.

Youth Empowerment: Over 14,000 youths have received seed grants through the One Youth, Two Skills initiative, with more than 50,000 trained via the Solution Innovation District.

Infrastructure Development: Contracts for over 900 kilometers of roads have been awarded, with over 630 kilometers already asphalted within three years.
Healthcare & Employment: Over 9,000 teachers recruited, more than 1,000 medical personnel employed, and five new general hospitals established.

Security & Recognition: Strengthened security and multiple national awards in infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

Barrister Ezeokenwa reaffirmed:
"These are not mere promises—they are visible, verifiable achievements. Ndi Anambra, your trust and loyalty over the past 19 years have kept the light of progress shining. APGA remains committed to continuing this journey, with integrity, compassion, and responsibility."
He called on Ndi Anambra to ensure the momentum continues by voting for Professor Soludo, whom he described as Ọlụatụegwu—the master builder and transformer of our state.

In closing, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa urged everyone:
"Let us secure our future. Let us keep the progress alive. Ndi Anambra, the future is in our hands. Vote APGA, vote for progress, and let’s keep moving forward."

This message, a clarion call for unity and progress, underscores the collective resolve of Ndi Anambra to build a better, brighter future for generations to come.

Mr. Nduka Anyanwu, Special Adviser Media To APGA National Chairman
