The atmosphere was electric at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, as thousands of Ndi Anambra and distinguished guests gathered to witness a historic occasion— the official swearing-in of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his second term as Governor of Anambra State. The event was not only a political milestone but also a testament to the growing recognition of Anambra’s rising profile on the national stage.

The ceremony was graced by prominent personalities from across Nigeria, including national leaders, former presidents, diplomats, industry captains, religious figures, traditional rulers, and political stalwarts. The presence of these eminent figures underscored the importance of Anambra’s leadership and its trajectory of development under Governor Soludo.

A Celebratory Ceremony Marking Democratic Triumph

The event commenced with a solemn yet jubilant mood, beginning with the swearing-in of the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim. Following this, Governor Soludo took the oath of office, administered by the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie M. Anyachebelu. This marked the official commencement of his second term, promising continuity and further progress for the state.

Chief Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, National Chairman of APGA, expressed profound pride and support during the event. He lauded Governor Soludo’s visionary leadership, highlighting the remarkable progress made within just four years. “The overwhelming turnout of national figures and local leaders alike reflects the widespread confidence in Governor Soludo’s ability to steer Anambra towards sustainable development,” he stated.


Ezeokenwa emphasized that the governor’s leadership has repositioned Anambra State through bold reforms, strategic investments, and infrastructural development. “Governor Soludo’s administration is a shining example of APGA’s people-oriented philosophy—governance that prioritizes the welfare, aspirations, and progress of our people,” he a dded.

Looking ahead, Chief Ezeokenwa reaffirmed APGA’s unwavering support for Governor Soludo’s vision. He expressed optimism that this renewed mandate would accelerate the realization of the “New Anambra” — a state that is modern, livable, and prosperous.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
