Notorious Criminal Arrested By Police In Port Harcourt

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a notorious armed robber and recovered multiple firearms with live ammunition.

A statement by the Command's Public Relations Officer, ASP Blessing Agabe, said acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Command swift into action and arrested the Suspect, one Austine Emenike, popularly known as “Oyibo,” of Aluu Village.

Exhibits recovered from the suspect includes one locally made pistol, four single-barrel guns, and five live cartridges. 

According to the statement, preliminary findings revealed that the suspect is linked to a wider criminal network.

The police image maker stated that Investigators are pursuing vital leads aimed at identifying and arresting other members of the gang, as well as uncovering the full scope of their Activities.


ASP Agabe while adding that the State commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju called on residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious, urged the public to report suspicious persons, movements or activities to the Police on the following numbers.

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages.
