The Nigeria Police will on Tuesday September 1st 2026, launch the Nigeria Police Force vigilant App and MTN Closed User Group, CUG network.
According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, will officially launch the APP at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre in Abuja.
The initiative which is part of the Nigeria Police Force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen technology-driven policing, will enhance communication and improve operational efficiency across the Force.
The statement further stated that the NPF Vigilant App is designed to support and improved engagement, information sharing and communication between the Police and members of the public, while the MTN CUG Network will provide a dedicated communication platform to facilitate seamless and efficient communication among personnel of the Force.
CSP Iniedu, noted that the launch will underscores the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police to leveraging modern technology and strategic partnerships to enhance policing, strengthen internal coordination and improve service delivery to Nigerians.
The Police Image maker added that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to harnessing technology, innovation and strategic partnerships to strengthen policing, enhance operational effectiveness and deliver more responsive, efficient and people-centred security services to Nigerians.
