OSPAC Members Inflicted Injuries On Me Over Matching Ground Levy,Says Community Youth

  A man identified as Clifford Woko has accused OSPAC Members in Rumulomeni, Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State of brutalizing him with machete on Saturday last week which made him sustained serious injuries.   Mr Woko in an interview with our correspondent, narrated he got a call on that day from the Engineer at a building site in his care that some persons were at the site demanding for 'matching'  ground levy, which is an illegal fee.  According to Mr Woko, when he came and met the OSPAC members led by their leader,comrade Kenneth Olumeni to know the reason for the levy as Rivers State government had stopped such payment they started beating him. Mr Woko stated that he was forced into the OSPAC vehicle and taken to their  office where he was tied, detained and tortured for hours with machete before his release. He said the site Engineer out of fear paid fifty thousand naira yesterday for the release of some materials used on the site which was seized by OSPAC. 

Human Rights Group Commend Rivers CP For The Arrest Of OSPAC Members In Rumukpe Over Attempted Murder

 Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has commended  Rivers State commissioner of police Mr Joseph Mukan for the arrest of two OSPAC members in Rumukpe  Emohua Local Government Area for butchering one wisdom Jeremiah on allegation that he threw a dead snake in one of their member's house claiming that their gods found him guilty of the act.   Secretary of the group  Prince Wiro, in an interview with Newsmen in Port Harcourt called  for thorough investigation into the incident with a view to bringing perpetrators to book to serve as deterrents to others. Speaking further,Mr Wiro noted that a   member of the group accompanied the victim to Rumuji Divisional Police headquarters in Emohua LGA to file a formal compliant today.

Police Raids OSPAC Shrine In Rumukpe, Arrest Two, Others On The Run

Report says police officers suspected to be from special unit of the Rivers State Police command raided OSPAC shrine and office in Rumukpe Emohua Local Government Area of the state and arrested some of their members. Our correspondent gathered that the OSPAC leadership in Rumukpe led by Harrison Wokoma sent messages to  media Houses claiming unknown Police men abducted their men and raided their office and shrine  without justification.  They claimed the money kept for their gods went missing after the raid.   Earlier we brought you a report that one Wisdom Jeremiah 19 year old  was butchered by OSPAC on allegation of dropping dead snake in one of their member's house.  Our correspondent also gathered that OSPAC  members allegedly beat up the elder brother to the victim who was inflicted with machete cuts for reporting the matter to the police . OSPAC Allegedly Butcher Man Accused Of Dropping Dead Snake In Member's House

  One wisdom Jeremiah, a native of Rumuekpe, in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State has narrated how he was allegedly butchered with machete by an OSPAC member in the community who accused him of dropping  dead snake in his OSPAC Member's house after the OSPAC personnel reportedly claimed their god found him guilty of the act.  In an interview with our correspondent, Mr Jeremiah explained that as soon as he came back from work, an OSPAC member  known as Obiri Ndubuisi aka 'money die there' came to his house and  told him that he has consulted OSPAC gods and he was told that he dropped dead snake inside the member's house.  Mr Jeremiah said the OSPAC member descended on him with machete which resulted to deep cuts on his leg and injuries on other part of his body despite his plea that he was innocent of the crime being accused of.  The victim who was in serious pains while narrating his ordeal to our correspondent appealed to men of good conscience to help him g

Woman Allegedly Raped By Husband's Friend In Emohua Seeks Justice

  A twenty year old married woman Mrs Believe who was  allegedly raped by one Ogechi Uchendu at Mgbuitanwo in Emohua Local Government area of Rivers State has called for justice.  Mrs Believe, in an interview with our correspondent said  Mr. Uchendu who is husband's friend came to their house on January 13, ,2021, asked for knife to cut plantain after he had enquired and found out that her husband  was not at home.  According to Mrs Believe, the suspect called her attention minutes later and  asked  her to open the door and take plantain she will give to her husband when he comes back.  Mrs Believe stated she opened the door and took the plantain to the kitchen and while she was coming back the husband's friend held her and told her to comply or he will kill her.  She said despite the plea the man dragged her and allegedly raped her on the bare floor at the corridor. Gunmen Kills Police Officer , Injures Others in Port Harcourt

  Unknown gunmen has killed a police officer attached to Borikiri Police Divisional headquarters in Port Harcourt City Local government area of Rivers State.  Our correspondent gathered that two other officers were seriously injured during the attack at Captain Amangala axis of town .  A resident who preferred to remain anonymous claimed that the act was carried by some cultists terrorizing the area and guns belonging to the police  carted away.  Spokesman  Rivers State Police Command Mr Nnamdi Omoni who confirmed the killing of the police inspector said the Commissioner of Police has ordered an investigation into the matter Mr  Omoni who did not give the identities of the affected police officers also dismissed claims that guns were carted away.    The Spokesman noted that while the officers were on duty unknown gunmen numbering about Seventeen  launched a surprise attack on them, leading to the death of an Inspector of Police, while others sustained gunshot wounds.  The Police Patrol

Rivers State Police Command Confirms Arrest Of Sergeant,One Civilian For Armed Robbery

  Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspected armed robbers. Police Public Relations Officer Mr Nnamdi Omoni in a statement said the timely arrival of the Police led to the arrest of  the two robbers who were later identified as Sergeant Ibrahim Odege attached to the Operations Department of the Rivers Police Command and one  Sampson Inomoghe 32 year old from Nembe in Bayelsa State.  Mr Omoni said the Suspects confessed to have carried out the robbery attacks among other revelations.  Items recovered from the suspects include three mobile phones belonging to their victims and  one locally made Bareta pistol. Police Officer, One Other Apprehended During Robbery Operation In Port Harcourt

  A suspected armed robber who was among two suspects arrested by security guards and residents of Elekahia Housing Estate was seen with an Identity card of the  Nigerian Police.  President  Elekahia Progressive Youth, Prince Aholu told our correspondent  that he got the report that the suspects were arrested during a robbery operation in the area by security guards and called in the Police officers from Elekahia Divisional Police Station in Port Harcourt. Mr Aholu commended the Police for their swift response while urging the Youths to remain calm as the matter is being investigated by the Police.  He urged the Police to pay more attention to Elekahia ring road and railway axis as the areas has become den of criminals. Lady Shot By Suspected Hoodlums In Port Harcourt For Refusing Rape Narrates Her Ordeal

  A 200 level student from Faculty of Management Science,University of Port Harcourt ,Miss  Jeremiah Blessing, a native of Akwa/Ibom state  who was shot by three man robbery gang at the front of a public toilet close to Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology in Port Harcourt on Wednesday 13th January 2021 narrates her ordeal .  Miss Jeremiah who spoke with our correspondent revealed that after robbing her of her valuables, the gunmen dragged her towards the toilet in order to rape her.  Stating that her refusal to follow them landed her a gun shot She however ,lauded  security Agents and President  Student Union Government of College of Health who came to her rescue and immediately called in the Police that took her to the hospital. My Son Was Tortured To Dead ,68 Year Old Retired Police Officer Testify Before Judicial Commission Of Inquiry

  A 68 year old Retired Police Officer, Elder Sunday  Udoh, who said his son was unlawfully murdered by Disbanded SARS Operatives  on the 6th of July, 2017, have demanded that the corpse of his son Nsikan  Udoh be released to him for a proper burial. Elder Udoh while testifying before the State Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Police Brutality, narrated that his 30 years old son whose life was cut short was  arrested on  July 5, 2017, by Officers of Nkpolu Police Division Mile 3, Diobu, paraded at the Police Headquarters Moscow Road same day where he told Newsmen that he was not guilty of the offence. According to him, the suspects who were arrested alongside his son also testified before the Police that his late son was not involved in the case, but the then Commissioner of Police transfered them to SARS office Rukpokwu. Suspected Armed Robbers Shoot Lady In Port Harcourt After Robbing Her

Rivers CP Charges Newly Deployed Special Constabularies Not To Indulge In Corruption

  Rivers State Police Command has deployed three hundred and sixty six  special constabularies for community Policing . Addressing the constabularies commissioner of police Mr. Joseph Mukan at the police headquarters in Port Harcourt charged the newly recruits to synergize with the police divisions in their areas for effective community Policing. 72 Year Old Man Demands 100Million Naira Compensation From Police For Allegedly Killing His Son

Hoodlums Attack Worshippers Returning from Cross Over Night In Port Harcourt ,one Suspect Apprehended

  A Vigilante group at Okporo in Rumuodara,Obio/Akpor local Government area of Rivers State has apprehended à member of three man robbery gang, Ndubuisi Igwe popularly known as SS Chief, while they were robbing worshippers coming back from church in the early hours of today .
