Eid-El Kabir: Rivers Police Command Deploys Personnel For Hitch-Free Celebration

By  Awajis George  The Rivers State Police Command in preparation for Eid-El Kabir celebration, has deployed adequate human and material resources to fortify security across the State before, during, and after the festivity.  The command ordered massive deployment of conventional police personnel as well as the tactical teams attached to the Command, Explosives Ordinance Disposal and Chemical Biological Radioactive Nuclear (EOD & CBRN) operatives to various strategic places, especially worship centers. Consequently, Operation Order has been issued, while Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and DPOs have been directed to ensure apparent visibility policing during the festive period through constant supervision of officers and men deployed for the season with regards to standard operating procedures. The Command felicitates with the Muslim faithful in Rivers State on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration and equally appreciates the good people of the State for their support and cooperation

Police Arrest Disbanded OSPAC Leader, Others In Rivers State

  The Rivers State Police Command has arrested the leader of the disbanded OSPAC, Nyeche Ajuru who seized two riffles from Men of Nigerian Soldiers two months ago at Ndele community, Emohua Local Government Area. Briefing Journalists at the Police headquarters in Port Harcourt, CP  Nwonyi Emeka stated that Nyeche Ajuru was arrested along Aluu -UDS road in a Toyota Corolla car by operatives of Anti-cultism last week Thursday. CP Emeka stated that an AK 47 Riffle, two walkie talkies, Police Special Constabulary ID was recovered from Ajuru and the occupants of the vehicle.The Rivers Police Boss said the suspect Ajuru confessed to have engaged and killed two soldiers in a shoot out in Ndele. Stakeholders Task INEC To Amplify Voices Of Persons-With-Disabilities , Women

By Awajis George   Women, Youths and People With Disability have been identified as major stakeholders in electoral process hence the need for their voices to be amplified. This was the submission of some Media Practitioners in Port Harcourt who spoke on the need for inclusion of these special set of persons in decision making process that bothers on electoral act . On his part, a Media Practitioner with one of the government station, Mr. Emmanuel Lene explained that laws should be made to give these special set of persons unhindered access to electoral process. Mr. Lene argued that if these special persons are not carried along in electoral decision making, it will make this process uninterested for them to participate knowing fully that they have no stack in the process. Principal Of A School In Rivers State Allegedly Assault Female Teacher

  By  Awajis George  A female Teacher in Community Senior Secondary School Isiodu Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Miss Blessing Nkomadu has narrated how she was brutalized,her clothe torn by her Principal Mr. Kingsley Kabari and later arrested by Anti-cultism Police unit. Miss Nkomadu alleged that after the WAEC Exams yesterday ,June 22nd ,2023,the Principal  insisted that the students must pay three thousand five hundred naira before collecting their smart cards. Which some of the teachers disagreed, including one Mr. Godspower Woke who insisted that the cards should be given to the students without any charges. Police Arrest Lover Of Barber Who Allegedly Died During Sexual Intercourse

  By Awajis George  The Rivers State Police Command has taken into custody ,female lover of the  barber Otubong who allegedly died in sex romp last week Friday at Osina Street, Mile 2 Diobu PortHarcourt. The Spokesperson of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed  that the lady ,who was said to have fled after the death of the Barber is now in Police custody. SP Iringe-Koko however did not give the name of the female suspect . A source which pleaded anonymity told our Correspondent that the female lover of the Barber turned herself in to the Police two days after the incident. Police Nab 20 Suspects For Drug Related Crimes

  By Awajis George  Inline with the directive of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Nwonyi  Emeka, to Divisional Police Officers, Heads of Departments and Tactical Commanders to conduct intelligence guided raids on drug-infested black spots within their Area of Responsibilities. Arms Recovered As Police Arrested Suspected Cult Kingpin, Armed Robbers

  Rivers State Police command says it has arrested a suspected Vikings cult Kingpin known as Kenneth Mkpe at Bomu community in Tai LGA . The Commissioner of Police, CP Emeka Nwonyi in a press briefing on Monday 19th June, 2023 said operatives of the command on 17th  June, 2023 stormed the hideout of the suspected cult member and arrested him. Stabbing Of Twelve Year Old Girl:Human Rights Group Calls For Thorough Investigation

   A Human Rights Group,Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability has called for a thorough investigation into the incident that lead to the stabbing of a twelve year old girl Oluebube in Port Harcourt by her neighbour. National Coordinator, Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability, Prince Wiro in a statement, frowned at the ugly incident and urged security agency to ensure no stone is left unturned in getting to the root of the matter. Mr. Wiro noted that the suspect should be arraigned in court immediately if  found culpable in the course of investigation. Police Storms Criminal Hideout,Kill Three Suspects In Rivers Community

            Viewer's Discretion is advised   Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command killed three suspected kidnappers at Isiodu Forest in Emohua Local Government Area of the state. Tragedy: Man Dies In Port Harcourt After Alleged Drug Induced Sex With A Lady

  A middle aged man known as Otubong  was discovered dead in the early hours of this morning Friday 16th,2023 at Osina street, Mile 2 Diobu Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The sad incident happened after he moved into his room with a lady on Thursday night,June 15,2023 . We gathered that the lady he went into the room with ,absconded before residents discovered his dead body. A Police source informed our Correspondent that two black bullet drinks,two pack of tramadol and another sex enhancing drug was discovered at the scene of the incident. The incident has been reported to Azikiwe Divisional Police Station  , Illabouchi,Mile 2 Diobu.
