Police Arrest Another 2baba Gang Member Who Killed SP Bako

By Awajis George The Rivers State Police operatives on Monday, 25/09/2023 acting on actionable information received that in Edoaha Community in Ahoada East, one of the suspects who brutally killed SP Bako Angbashim was about to be lynched to death by an angry mob.  Police Public Relations Officer SP Grace  Iringe-Koko in a statement said a team of policemen swung into action to rescue the suspect who was about to be burnt with a tyre on his neck.  According to the statement, the suspect was rescued and  brought to the station where he made useful statement  . The Spokesperson said the suspect was later transferred to SCID for discreet investigation with a view to apprehend the  fleeing kingpin ,his gang members, and  to  recover their operational weapons .

Federal Government Declares Public Holiday

  By Awajis George  The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, September 27, 2023, as a public holiday. This is to mark the Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration and the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad . The announcement was made in a statement on Monday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Oluwatoyin Akinlade. She noted that the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, urged Nigerians to be tolerant. SP Bako Death: Police Kills Four Of 2Baba Men In Ahoada

   By Awajis George  Four suspected members of Iceland cult group, responsible for the death of  former DPO of Ahoada East local government Area of Rivers State, SP Bako have been gunned down by the Rivers State Police Command. The Commissioner of Police Emeka Nwonyi while briefing Newsmen at the Command's headquarters in Port Harcourt revealed that on 10th of September,2023 acting on credible intelligence that Iceland cultists led by David Okpara popularly known as 2Baba and his gang who  murdered SP Bako were in their hideout in Odeimude community in Ahoada East  mobilized and  stormed the forest where the hoodlums were. Death Of SP Bako : Police Arrest Six Suspects, Deploy New DPO

  By  Awajis George  Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Nwonyi Emeka along with his management team and tactical units, conducted an operation on Saturday, September 9, 2023 in Odumude Community, Ahaoda East Local Government Area with the objective to recover the deceased DPO's body and conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the community. Spokesperson ,Rivers State Police Command SP Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement,said during the operation, six suspects were apprehended within the community. Among the items seized were a locally crafted pistol and various charms. Alleged Extortion Of Six Point Five Million Naira :Victims Narrate Ordeal With Accused Police Officers

Police Parades Four Officers For Alleged Extortion Of Six Point Five Million Naira

By Awajis George  Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Emeka Nwonyi has paraded four Policemen attached to a neighbouring State Command over alleged extortion of about three persons in Port Harcourt.   The four officers were said to have extorted six point five million naira from three boys after tagging them internet fraudsters.   CP Nwonyi during the press briefing said in a follow up to the release of a kidnapped victim, arrested one Henry Thomas, on August 20, 2023 during investigation, the suspect led operatives to Akinnima community, Ahoada West where two pump action guns, six cartridges were recovered from the suspect.
