Ahead of next year election, Rivers State new Commissioner of Police Okon Effiong has advised residents of the state to be of good conduct before during and after the election. CP Effiong in a maiden briefing at the Command's headquarters urged youths to desist from thuggery during election as the command will not take it lightly with any group of persons that will disturb the relatively peace enjoyed in the state. The Commissioner who informed that the command will take proactive measure in tackling insecurity enjoined criminals to turn new live or leave the state. The new CP who stated that Human Rights abuse will not be tolerated under his watch , called on residents to report any form of abuse by any officer under the command.
